Beneath a Steel Sky is an adventure game using a point-and-click interface.

The story is set in a dystopian future, with an emphasis on the disparity between the corporate controlled and owned domed city, and the people surviving in the wasteland beyond its borders.

You play as Robert, who gets abducted from the wilderness due to a case of mistaken identity. The rest of your Gap-dwelling tribe is murdered in the process.

En route to the city, the helicopter malfunctions and crash-lands on the upper levels of a recycling plant. You narrowly dodge gunfire as you escape the wrecked chopper. You have to find your way back to the wilderness, while evading the security forces that are hunting you.
