Links 386 Pro
Links 386 Pro follows on Access Software's prior title Links: The Challenge of Golf (1990).
The game's title "386" refers to the new, faster PC processor of the time, taking advantage of it's increased performance with great success. The game features high-resolution (640x400) VGA 256-colour graphics in a photo-realistic world. Combined with unique game play mechanics and you will see why this title was so successful.
The game allows customising the playing windows in a multitude of combinations, from displaying an overhead map, club chart, score card, reverse shot view and terrain profile.
You can save your shots to file, so you can replay those moments again. Even more impressive, you can record you game, then later play against these recordings as if they were real players. The game comes bundled with a grand collection of recorded players from the team who created the game, so you can tee off against real pros.
Want to play against me? Simply extract my recordings into your game directory, start a new game and click the USE RECORDED PLAYERS button. Look for my player name "Wesbat". These are not the same recordings you are watching in these videos.
